1. systematic investigation into a subject in order
to discover or revise facts;
2. investigate carefully;
Research is the process of finding information, it is something that you already do on a daily basis
whether you realize it or not.
When you turn on the TV and check the TV Guide/channel guide to find out what is on, you are doing research.
When you open the refrigerator to find something to eat, you are doing research.
When you don't know something and you find the answer, you have done research.
The only difference between the above examples and a research project that you do in school,
is just the amount and type of information you are looking for and how you
organize that information.
