Welcome to the First Day of School

9:00-9:45

Students: Students will enter the front of the building and report to class for attendance and to meet your teacher. You may bring in your class supplies at this time.

Parents & Community: Parents are to enter the playground side of the building and sign in at the Welcoming Table. Then, stop by the cafeteria to visit school staff and community members. Enjoy the refreshments!

9:45-10:45

Stations: Students will be participating in various fun-filled

activities (15 minutes per station). Join in on the fun!

*If it’s raining, stations will be located inside classrooms.

Banner: Each class will create a class banner to carry in the school-wide parade. See schedule.

Lunch: Please join us for a delicious meal provided by the RCS Food Service. Follow the First Day Schedule Below.

11:00-12:00 (Grades 4-5) or 1:00-2:00 (Grades K-3)

Performance: All students will attend the performance,

Move It! Presented by Radio Disney and CDPHP. All kindergarteners and their families are invited to attend

either performance. (Location: Gym)

2:00-3:00

Parade: All students will participate in a school-wide parade* from Pieter B. to South Clement to VanHoesen Street then back to Pieter B. All families and community members are invited to join us in the parade. After, we will be serving ice cream provided by Stewart Shops. Location: playground

*Rain or Shine. In case of rain, ice cream treats should be brought inside to classrooms.

Parent Project: Please volunteer your time to participate in our Parent Project that depicts our First Day Event.

Location: Stage

Reminders: When leaving for the day, please stop by the Welcoming Table to sign out, pick up an evaluation and volunteer form.

Parking: Located behind St. Patrick’s Church
