This program will provide our school with 40 posters depicting the work of famous artists including painters, sculptors, architects, quilters, potters, etc. The project integrates American artwork social studies themes; democracy, courage, inventive/creative thinking, leadership, and many more. These posters will be used in individual classrooms to enhance instruction.
The posters will also be displayed throughout the building for public viewing during the school year. The Picturing America collection will be retained as part of a permanent collection, for future educational programming and use.
