These are the expectations each week for homework.
Work that needs to be handed in each morning (Tues.-Fri.)
Reading-The
students should be reading 20 minutes each night and filling out the Home
Reading Record Sheet each night. Please leave the sheet attached to the folder.
Math-Each night the students need to complete the bottom portion of
their timed test unless they receive a 100%.
Work that can be handed in anytime throughout the week but needs to be handed in
no later than Friday.
Writing-
The students need to write in their
Homework Notebook 2x’s a week.
They may write on anything they would like to unless otherwise told. I would like the
students to be writing a full page without skipping lines by the end of October.
Please date all entries.
Math- Each week I will be sending home sheets on skills that have been taught previously that needs to be completed. When a test will be given a review sheet will be sent home the night before.
Science/Social Studies- Sheets will be sent home periodically as review for test or concepts.
Spelling- Every 5 days I will send home a list of words that each child is working on.Review words that students are working on in class.

Math

Complete the worksheets (pp.1 and 2) review. If your child has a hard time with
any of the concepts from last year, please write a note so I know what needs to
be reviewed.(Due by Friday)

Complete the Student Reading Survey
Writing- Write in his/her Homework Notebook 2x’s on anything
he/she would like to. I have enclosed a list of things that the students can
write on and they can use the inside cover of their notebooks for ideas. The
goal is to write a full page by the end of October without skipping lines. (Due
by Friday)
