Please call x2200 or email us. We will try to help you on the phone. If we can't, a technician will be sent out.

How do I Use My Phone and Set Up My Voicemail?

Go to Using District Phones

Where do I get an ID Card?

All ID cards are produced by the Technology Department at the Warehouse (Directly behind the High School Tennis Courts).  Call the HELP Desk at x2200 to set up an appointment. This ensure that someone will be available when you arrive.

How do I get an Account and Email?

All Staff are automatically assigned an account when we receive the hiring notification from the Business Office. Normally, your User Name is your first initial followed by your last name. For Example, BIll Smith would be wsmith. The initial password is set to 12345. It will ask you to change it during your first log in. All faculty and administrator accounts are automatically created with Email. Your Email address is your account name followed by @rcscsd.org.

It's the First Time I've used Email, what do I Do?

Email can be accessed two different ways. The first is over the Web. This method can be used both in and out of school. Open Internet Explorer and go to the following web site, http://hsmail.rcscsd.org (for the middle and high school), http://awbmail.rcscsd.org (A.W. Becker only) and  http://pbcmail.rcscsd.org (P.B. Coeymans only).  You will we asked for your account and password. Tip: If you are at school, you can enter just http://hsmail

The second method to access email is using the Microsoft Outlook program. This is the preferred method because it offers more features, but it can only be used at school. It requires a profile to be set up one-time on any computer you use. If you need access your email at many different computers, using the web page outlined above would be best.

To set up Email using Microsoft Outlook for the first time, follow these instructions. Log In to your computer using your username.  Double click the Outlook Icon (Gold Square with circle inside and L inside circle

Click “new”, then  "Add new email",   Next>, then  "Microsoft Exchange Server" ,          Next>, then it will ask for your Microsoft Exchange Server (This is like your Post Office) enter HSMAIL (for the HS/MS),  AWBMAIL (for A.W. Becker), or                 PBCMAIL ( for P.B. Coeymans)   then press Next>. Now, enter your User Name (your log in name)   press Next>. Click “finish” , then Click “okay”   That's It!!

Where do I Store my Files?

Each user is automatically assigned an "H" drive. This is a location on one of the District's File Servers. It can be accessed by double clicking on My Computer, then click H. Storing files here is important because it can be accessed anywhere you sign in and all the files on the File Server are backed up each night. Secondly, we recommend you keep a backup copy yourself. Consider purchasing a USB Thumb Drive. This is a small backup device that you can carry on a key chain that has several hundred times the storage room of a floppy. All District computers have USB ports which will work with Thumb Drives.

Can I access my Email from Home?

Yes, to access your Email from home, open Internet Explorer and got to http://hsmail.rcscsd.org. If your Email Post Office is A.W. Becker, use awbmail in place of hsmail. The same goes for P.B. Coeymans, use pbcmail.
