WELL WRITTEN EXAMPLE

There are 900 million people in the world today who follow the religion of Hinduism.  They believe in reincarnation which is the rebirth of the soul.  Hindu’s believe that all living things have a soul.  Hindu’s believe that a person is born and lives his or her life.  When the person dies, Brahman judges the person’s soul.  Brahman is the one single spirit that is made up of all of the gods of Hinduism.  If the person has followed most the behaviors in his dharma, he will be considered good.  For example, dharma contains behaviors such as non-violence, telling the truth, and not stealing.  A good soul will be reborn into a higher caste.  However, if Brahman determines that the person has not behaved well and has behaved badly, then the soul will be reborn into a lower caste.  If the person has been really bad, he may come back as an animal or a bug.  This process will continue over and over until the person lives a perfect life.  If a person fulfills ALL of the behaviors in his dharma, the person is considered perfect.  A perfect soul gets to escape the wheel of reincarnation and the soul then gets to rest in everlasting peace with Brahman.  This is the goal of all Hindu’s.  Hinduism is the official religion of modern day India and almost everyone in India today believes in reincarnation.
